First Year Cub in Ponderosa
First Year Cub in PonderosaOne of the triplets. The bear family is doing great! The momma bear (damaged nose/mouth from 2 or 3 years ago) and her three first year cubs are thriving. In the early morning, the momma bear instructs the cubs to climb high in the big Ponderosa Pine. Then, she positions herself half way up the tree, blocking any possible exit for the cubs. This allows her to get some sleep. The cubs sleep during the warm part of the day, too. Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon EF400mm f/4 DO IS II USM, 1/1250s@f/5.6, ISO 1600, lens focal length 560mm., 08/24/18 8:35am. Somewhere in Larimer County, CO.
